2008 Mas Carlot Cuvee “Tradition”

We’ve been an enormous fan of winemaker Natalie Blanc and the wines of Mas Carlot since we were first introduced to her by a representative from Robert Kacher selections.
At every tier, they show Mrs. Blanc’s superb wine making skills and offer terrific value for money.
A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Mourverdre, the 2008 Mas Carlot cuvee “Tradition” rouge is the best of Mas Carlot’s entry level wine we’ve tried. While we’ve always enjoyed the nuances of this wine, in this vintage they have been brought together into a powerful whole that is exceedingly palette pleasing.
Biodynamically farmed and produced, the wine is bold bodied with great dark fruit, the wine is supple and lightly structured.
